Briana Goodchild, the Sydney Flames’ announcer, recently fulfilled a lifelong ambition by serving as a bilingual Master of Ceremonies at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Over the course of three weeks, she announced events in both French and English, including 3×3 basketball, wheelchair basketball, and breaking. Goodchild described the experience as “hands down the most challenging yet fulfilling gig I’ve done to date,” highlighting the mental demands of switching between languages.
